[Laser] Strange effect

Hi all,

It's starting to sound like the best 10 micron source is going to 
be a laser, hi. The best detectors are probably something exotic 
and COLD. But the ordinary room temperature pyro may be fine at 
very low modulation frequencies. 

Well, Radio Shack didn't have the SFH203, nor did it show up in 
a search of their database. Maybe it's just in the UK where 
they stock them? I heard about them on the UKnanowave list. RS 
here does have some pyro detectors as part of kits but not 
by themselves.

I would send a link to a schematic of my kit but my website seems 
to be down at the moment... it's been down for a couple days now 
i think. It is not the Ramseye kit though, Mike. This one is based 
on a minimum-parts 3 transistor hearing-aid amplifier i found 
online last year. I should have it going soon hopefully. I keep
putting it off to do other things that need doing, you know how 
it is.
