Hi John
Your laser driver/modulator is very well designed with very good spurious transiant avoiding systems.
Your receiver is well adapted bus it is not a very sensistive one because the low value of the photodiode load.
The luxeons nead high currents and it could be better to design an other
 schematic with more voltage from PSU and more powerfull output
transistors;
The same global principle could be used with a lower current sensor resistor on the current control loop.

Hallo all,
I have built up a laser transceiver and the circuit can be seen here http://m0els.5gigs.net/lasers.html
The question is can I use these circuits if I change the laser to luxeon led. I have not been out much at all due to various things, but want to get active in the new year while I still can....hi

thanks
John
