[Laser] 5mw laser transceiver kit

I have a 6" dia IR filter that was used in front of a lantern. Holding it to
the sun you see ABSOLUTELY no light. Holding it between a magnifying glass
and the sun and you WILL get burned. So, yes, it passes NO 'visible' light
but long wave IR.

no? .freaky... A watt of 830nm light can't be felt on the skin. I assume
that's spread out to one inch diameter or so. That sort of brings up an
interesting point about sunlight when comparing it with other sources i
guess. That 1000 watts per square meter, or 0.1 watts per sq cm, that you
feel on your skin from the sun, is mostly due to light in the longwave
infrared portion of the spectrum.
