[Laser] Lunar Eclipse

Hi all,
In a few hours will be the last lunar eclipse of the year. I was 
hoping to fire up my Xenon strobe transmitter just for the heck of 
it, but it's overcast and cloudy here... For anyone that wants to 
listen in though, it looks like; the lights of Japan, New Zealand 
and South America (Rio is bright) as well as extreme western Europe
(London, Paris), will all be near the rim of the earth as seen from 
the moon. I think those are all using 50 Hz power (100Hz lines). The
darkness of this eclipse is similar to the one where Yves detected 
a 120 Hz line in France, apparently from the eastern USA (it was on 
the rim of the earth as seen from the moon). The lower half of the 
moon will be in the darkest part of the Earth's shadow, making the 
Tycho area a good choice for listening. I think the cities near the 
rim of the earth, at eclipse time, are the best candidates since streetlamps tend to leak the most light to the sides and not 
straight up. The moon is also near perigee..any little bit would 
help - it's not much though, lol.
But, even without any scientifical optical stuff, it should be a 
nice one to just watch - there's also a meteor shower happening and 
the dark red moon should make it more visible for a while.
