[Laser] Lunar Eclipse

Hi all,
In a few hours will be the last lunar eclipse of the year. I was
hoping to fire up my Xenon strobe transmitter just for the heck of
it, but it's overcast and cloudy here... For anyone that wants to
listen in though, it looks like; the lights of Japan, New Zealand
and South America (Rio is bright) as well as extreme western Europe
(London, Paris), will all be near the rim of the earth as seen from
the moon. I think those are all using 50 Hz power (100Hz lines). The
darkness of this eclipse is similar to the one where Yves detected
a 120 Hz line in France, apparently from the eastern USA (it was on
the rim of the earth as seen from the moon). The lower half of the
moon will be in the darkest part of the Earth's shadow, making the
Tycho area a good choice for listening. I think the cities near the
rim of the earth, at eclipse time, are the best candidates since streetlamps tend to leak the most light to the sides and not
straight up. The moon is also near perigee..any little bit would
help - it's not much though, lol.
But, even without any scientifical optical stuff, it should be a
nice one to just watch - there's also a meteor shower happening and
the dark red moon should make it more visible for a while.
