 Tom
The camera works fully automaticaly without other control.
Fitted with its new big objective it does not work at all by daylight because it is fully saturated.
You can have a look on the kind of film that it is possible to take with this very low cost camera modified with a powerfull objective :

The bouncing target is the "Mont blanc", the highest mountain in France with its 4807 meters ASL.

The film was taken by moonlight to 170 km.
The snow near the top is well visible.
Our goal is to get some laser echoes from the highest part of this mountain on a 340 km total NLOS path.
It is a very great chalenge but a new APD RX with its 60 cm in diameter mirror and a powerful new laser could let to us a small chance ?

It's amazing what technology and consumers can make for $16.

Yves, do you allow the camera to operate fully automatically, or do you
control its chipset? Do you suspect that the noise in the images of the
clock and distant hills resulted from the camera's longest shutter
period and highest AGC gain? Will your camera also operate in daylight?
