I agree... Even a short summary of what has been talked about in here over the years would make several very interesting papers. Just put an "Optical" or "Terahertz" in front of any of those suggested topics.. except amplifiers maybe... All the info known on this list or anywhere else could be used with notes and credits due of course. Aside from some petty disagreements that have happened, this has really been an international effort with most of the info posted online for all to see and use.
