[Laser] 405nm Laser ATV transmission

Sunday, the 18th of May Tom, DL9OBD and me, DJ1WF made a succesful
TV transmission via Laser at 405nm wavelength over a distance of 31,4km.
The laser diode was extracted from a Playstation3 laser unit which contained a
blu ray laser diode. The output power during the transmission was 5mW.
The recieved colour TV signal at the other end was noise free even if the line
of sight was not pretty clear that day.
At the receiver site we used a photomultiplier tube R928 and a  
parabolic mirror
with 35cm diameter. The laser transmitter and receiver were homebrew.  
The transmission was a first equipment test for longer
distances we will try later.
