Hi all
I just wanted to remind the moon bouncers, there is a
window opening from western Europe to north America for the
next few days. The moon is crossing the equator from south
to north and will increase about 5 degrees per day till it
reaches 28 degrees north around November 26th. After the
full moon, a better window opens from November 26 until
after December 2, when the moon again drops below the
equator for two weeks.
To roughly define a window, I've used this set of
requirements so far:
"Moon phase between 10% and 90% with the moon visible from
both Western Europe and the US east coast in darkness while
the moon is directly above a point on earth north of the
equator. (and all lunar eclipses greater than 10% umbral)"

I have posted two real-time graphic displays on my website
to help visualize what's happening at any given time:

The moon graphic is from the U.S. Naval Observatory and the
earth graphic from Fourmilab. Both of these are "live",
updated automatically and the windows reload every few
minutes to get the latest images as well. Both of these are
clickable to see a full size image.
The page also has some clickable moon maps and links to
help locate craters and other areas of interest. I'll add
some links to the weather satellite pages for checking
cloud cover too when i get a chance. Then most everything
will be together in one place handy to check conditions.
Any ideas for other things or links to put on the page are
welcome.
good luck with it!
