Here is a suggestion that might serve your needs:

Ultraoptix model HLP-H, 8-1/4" X 11", the UPC is 046876888816    may have
been sold as "Handi-Lens"

They were sold in Office Max for $8.29 in March 2006.  I have not checked to
see if they are still available through the retail store.  The model is
listed on the ultraoptix web site for a higher list price, but not as much
more as gasoline has gone up in 1.5 years.

You might try any of the office supply chain stores by asking for a sheet
magnifier.

Hi everyone,
      I'm looking to build a fresnel lens receiver and was wondering if any
of you could point me to a good source. I'm not looking for a top of the
line lens, just one that will collect light and isn't that expensive. Do any
of you have suggestions? On terms of the size I'm looking for one that's
about the area of a page, 30x30cm or so a little larger is fine.
