Jens,
Once it is bits, I can send anything I want down it. It is just a data stream,
the data can be video, computer data, voice, what ever I want.

As to the modulation, initially I will be using just plain old OOK, but
later on I will move to some form of pulse code modulation to try to
increase the SNR.

My next step once this is working is to take the RONJA stuff and add
lasers to the TX end and see how that works out. At that point I will be
doing 10 mb/s, and that will allow for even more functionality.

My final intent is to reach a speed of between 100 and 500 mb/s on these
links, but first I have to get something operational so I can get it off the
bench and on the air, then while we are gathering real time data on those
test units we move on to higher speeds.

Just remember, once it is bits you can do anything with it.

"the only dumb question is the one you DID NOT ask resulting in my going
out and having to identify your bits and pieces in the midst of torn
and twisted metal."
