I have two Telco Systems 828 mux, these units have two FO TX cards (
large heat sink with a laser module on it, all mounted on a PCB card with
associated electronics) and two FO receiver cards they were part of a
fibre system linking the local utility plants and control sites. I got the whole
lot of them from a friend of mine. I would like to try to use them in FSO
comms experiements. The laser transmitter modules are as follows:
Lasertron LTL003-9 and Thompson Hybrides SE 610-8.

I assume that these are either 1310 or 1550 nm diodes, but not sure as
googling has turned up nothing on them. I am interested in trying to use
them for FSO links, but my interest is in the high speed end rather than
the low signal level end. These devices were T1 muxes as far as i can
see and find out.

"the only dumb question is the one you DID NOT ask resulting in my going
out and having to identify your bits and pieces in the midst of torn
and twisted metal."
