Hello Kerry , Lee and the Laser Group
I would be very interested in working on East to West LOS optical link
between San Diego and Arizona. On this end I don't currently have anything
up an running yet, just getting started in gathering information. I do have
a suggestion for Arizona end location. Harquahala Mountain which is 5681 ft
located at 33 ° 49' N 113 ° 21' W highest point in SW Arizona and can be
accessed by 4 wheel drive without much problem. I am not that informed about
your area except I live to vacation there, but seems you are going to have
to get over Telegraph Pass. Haven't looked at it yet with GPS mapping
software to be sure of best path.

What wavelength laser are you using? If in the 600nm to 950nm range and has
CW or long pulse output, I have access to Gen 3 night vision equipment which
could aid alignment.
We could probably use Smith Peak or Calzone link for radio communication
during experiments or other times. I also have Skype and Echolink for VOIP
communications to avoid telephone expenses.
What would be a good time to call by telephone. Also looked both you guys
up on QRZ, we are all about the same age. I was born in 1947.
Let me know what you think.
