[Laser] How much power

Hi Chuck,

I have the same problem with DVD RW Laser Diodes. How much current I can
push through it?

good, yea, it is very good. It will burn plastic at 90ma. But do not
want to
push it anymore than that.

Wonder if any of you have a idea as to what the power output is and how
much mills can be pushed through it?

The DVD-RW was model number DVDRW 1008IM this one was packaged
byt I/O Magic, but it is also sold as a BTC 1008 or BTC 1008IM and also
as the Emprex DVD-RW 1008IM. Do not want to damage the diode, but
would like to know what the power on the device is.
