hi Steve
here's a list of detector part numbers mentioned on the
list i collected by searching for "photodiode". Searching
with google should give all the info & where to buy etc..
There are so many types of optical setups i guess it's hard
to say which one is best for a particular app, thought this
might help though
- also you can get pin diodes out of old VCR's and TV's
with remote controls. The Older models especially since
they had discreet diodes instead of the integrated three
legged detector modules you see now. Some of them use a
stick-on IR filter you can peel off for visible use.
