Not to be dismissive of your reasons listed regarding lack of traffic,
but this list has always had very little traffic and I've been a
member for a number of years now.  It seems to come in bursts, usually
when a new person joins, or someone finally gets that last part for
their particular project and starts a discussion regarding it here,
etc.  Not to mention, traffic that originates from the northern
hemisphere usually dies during our winter season.  Just because there
is not a lot of traffic from this list does not mean people aren't
experimenting.
