Laser description:
Receiver : K3PGP type pre-amp with fresnel lens + H.B. audio TX muting etc circuits

Transmitter: H.B. modulator able to do CW and AM with a 5mW Red Laser (1$)
The system is motorized to allow about 2º of elevation and azimuth

-------------------------------------------

First test was 3km VE2JWH Jimmy to VE2BP Jacques, 1 hour later QSO completed, a 13.2 km path with very good signal strengh on CW but to much turbulence for an AM voice contact, next summer we may try a 40km path I found and possibly a 70 km path later.

                                         3.4, 5.7, and 10GHz records

     12 August 2006, VE2JWH (With VE2PIJ) and W1AIM/VE2 broke the
in-Canada DX records on three microwave bands: 3.4, 5.7, and 10GHz.
W1AIM operated in FN35ca and VE2JWH/VE2PIJ were in FN57dn. Distance per
"BD" was 424.494 km. VE2JWH was worked on 2X CW on all three bands. VE2PIJ,
was worked on SSB (with difficulty) just on 10GHz.
Conditions were flat with no tropo. (It was a big struggle just to
liaison on 2M!- Further distances will likely require the use of HF for
liaison....)
