Hi all!

Interesting thread...

As I recall, the spectrum of a standard florescent tube is mainly yellow 
and shorter wavelengths. Not much red at all! However, for NLOS optical 
comms, this is an advantage because the shorter wavelength energy will 
scatter at much higher angles than the reds and longer. If anyone needs a 
demonstration of this, go outside on a cloudless day and note that the sky 
is not red... (unless you live someplace like Lost Angeles ;-)
