Art,
I would like a copy of Burr-Browns AB-061. It is a shame the TI didn't keep
all the old Burr-Brown ap notes available. There are serveral that we (my
work) printed some years ago and we still reference from time to time.

thanks,
walt

I did manage to find a repository of old Burr-Brown ap notes with some
creative and detailed google searches.

After a long search, I did locate Burr-Brown's AB-061.pdf, which is titled
"OPT201 PHOTODIODE-AMPLIFIER REJECTS AMBIENT LIGHT". It is a much more
complete description of how to use a second op amp to cancel ambient light
levels without seriously dumbing down the sensitivity of the receiver.

It stops short of claiming "daylight operation" but the basic design
concept and formulas are given in more detail than the description in the
opt-301 (and other Burr-Brown) integrated photodiode receiver chips
datasheets.

I'll gladly send it to anyone who would like a copy.

Keep 'dem lasers lit.
