[Laser] stable audio oscillator?

Long ago, this would have worked.  But not now.  Now everyone has a "frame 
sync" which locks the incoming signal to the local sync generator - which 
although very good - is not as good as the network's precision standard.

 and using them to lock an oscillator.  For a portable system, I guess
