QRSS is a take off on QRS which means send slower
QRSS can use very long duration dots which allow the
spectran / ARGO type audio analyzing software to detect
the narrow band CW and display it on your monitor. So you
end up with being able to detect signals that are down 20 DB
and you are unable to hear from your speaker. It gives a dramatic
increase in weak signal detection . Uses your sound card connected
to your radio speaker. The one drawback is the need to be exactly on
frequency
and the need for a stable audio Osc. to prevent the signal from drifting
out of your pass band
is used on LF where the normal background noise can be overwhelming to
normal signals
