[Laser] Radio Electronics Lightbeam Communicator

This appeared around 1989-1991 in Radio Electronics, and Electronics
Experimenters Handbook.  It was a visible-light LED transmitter and receiver
kit by Roger Sonntag (General Science & Engineering) of Rochester, NY.  They
were mounted in sturdy cardboard tubes, used a 2.3" convex lens for the
transmitter and a 6" fresnel lens in the receiver.

He no longer provides these, so I ask if anybody on this list has any
(unbuilt?) or knows of a source for these.  The circuits were simple, but
the mechanics/optics is what I'm after!  Any help?
