[Laser] Lenses?

I thought maybe it would be worth while to throw in an additional 2 cents
worth on my own experience with beam expanders.  So far I have not had luck
using stock spotting scopes or binoculars. The issue I have run in to with
at least the ones I have tried has been that they don't have sufficient
adjustment to properly focus the laser spot. I always ran out of focus
adjustment before the spot was optimized at far distances. I have been
using the objective lense and tube from a couple of spotting scopes but
added my own adjustable rear lense. Fewer lenses also is better.  Just my
comments based on at least some experience playing with these toys:)
