Hello all -

I am selling an argon laser head that might be of interest to some of the
guys on the list. If you are looking to move to new wavelengths or higher
powers or are looking for something new to experiment with, please consider
this. I have a second laser head for my argon system and this one has been
a spare for some time. I have decided that I simply don't need it
anymore. If there are no takers it will probably get posted on eBay
eventually but I would prefer to sell to a laser proficient (friendly) buyer!!

Used Argon laser head for sale -

American Laser Corporation (ALC) Model 60X Air-Cooled Argon Laser Head
457-515nm output (multiline) (indigo to emerald green, primarily 488nm blue)
TEMoo
Approx. 60mW total output power @ 10A plasma current
Hour meter reads approx. 4064 hours
Forced air cooling - squirrel cage blower fan included

***Very important - Requires suitable power supply and umbilical cable for
operation, not included.
I can provide information on where to purchase these, or they can be
homebrewed (see FAQ below).

Photos of the head and the output it produces when properly connected to a
suitable
power supply (Omnichrome 150R) available at
http://www.wavelen.com/argonFS/index.html

Asking $550. Reasonable offers considered. Buyer pays shipping from San
Diego, CA (within continental USA only).

Output power unfortunately cannot be guaranteed as the alignment is very
delicate and may need to be readjusted after shipping. This is normal for
this type of laser head. As seen in one of the pictures the main beam has
a small satellite - this is also typical of 60X lasers and is a property of
the cavity optics.

More general information is available at Sam's Laser FAQ.
