Yes, I will pass the information on MID-IR LEDs and Sensors. I am still
collecting items in this area. Only thing that is ready is an optical fiber
bundle of 7-cores of 1mm each core. I intend to use the center core for
excitation and other six cores for sense back. Right now the cost of this
bundle of 1m long fiber is US$490 each. 3mm fiber bundle is US$990 each. I
think these are very costly for hobby work and I got them made for
professional work to make a real sensor. For hobby one can try bare canduit
plastic optical fibers for perhaps only few dollars.

I will discuss some photonics techniques that may be useful.
