Hey, Bob tells me you are a HAM, I am holding an organizational meeting
to try and get the local HAM emergency operators together with the
hospital communications folks (including HAM), along with some of the
emergency agencies such as Sheriffs office and EOC of Jefferson and
Orleans Parish, to discuss HAM emergency operations for this region,
such as what channel can we establish a NET on or is there one already
in the area that would be supportive of hospital use for disaster. If
you can enlighten me as to your roles as a HAM, I may ask you to speak
at the meeting. My plan is to have all agencies and hospital's introduce
themselves to the HAM world here locally, and attempt to get us all able
to talk on the HAM as a backup during disaster. Bob McBride is my best
HAM operator here; I am a rookie with a license KE5CZY. Thanks for any
