Greetings and Merry Christmas:
The SATERN group for the Alabama - Louisiana -
MIssissippi (ALM) Division
will be conducting a weekly Mid-South SATERN Net on
Saturdays at 1600Z
(10:00 AM Central) on 7.265 MHz, +/- 5 KHz depending
upon QRM and
conditions. The purpose of this Net is to provide an
opportunity for both
training and fellowship amongst Amateur Radio
operators who have, or may
have, a desire to support The Salvation Army during
times of emergency and
disaster. All amateur radio operators - particularly
SATERN and other
Amateur Radio operators living in the ALM Division -
are encouraged to
participate in this net whenever possible.
The Net Manager for this Net is Ken Standard, AD5XJ,
in Houma, Louisiana.
I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank Ken
for taking this
project on. It is something he has been working on for
the last couple of
