I recently purchased a very, very nice HA-55A, Aircraft Receiver, for a great price. This old radio covers 108 to 136 MHz AM. I connected it to a makeshift antenna and was surprised how sensitive it is.

The reason for this message is to share with anyone who has any these vintage series radios (HA-52, 520, etc) for some simple 'fixes' to restore the performance, just contact me off line, or here if there is enough interest. These old radios with a Nuvistor front end surprise me all the time. If they had only used pain,t instead of 'decals' on the dial faces....sigh.....
I own, have restored, let's just say, a LOT of this series.....ha ha
I also have a ton of other Lafayette's both tube and transistor, that I still think are amazing radios for the $. Except for a couple of models.
