[Lafayette] TM-59

Hi to all. I recently picked up a Lafayette TM-59 external S-Meter. On the face it says:" 59er S-Meter". It looks pretty old but cleaned up nicely. I can't find out much about it. It has a 6C4 tube inside and a cable to attach it to the radio with what appears to be a Jones style 4 bladed plug.
Anybody remember if this was a CB accessory or what???? Nobody bid on it and it was VERY inexpensive.... ha ha
