One of Lafayette's last "claim to fame" receivers before the bottom fell
out of the business. The subject line should say BCR-101, not BRC-101.
This first go-around receiver had lots of possibilities but it suffered a
number of problems. The receiver actually works better, and suffers less
distortion, with the noise blanker on. Some receivers suffered mechanical
instabilities while tuning, and tuning itself sometimes required some
head-scratching. Unfortunately, Lafayette chose to kill the model after a
very short period in the marketplace.

And, yes, I do have the instruction manual which includes the never
published full service information for this receiver.
