Hello to the group. Ron, I have a HA-350 with an original manual and
schematic. If you havent found the schematic yet I will be glad to copy it
and send it your way. The HA-350 was the rcvr I dreamed about as a Novice
but could never afford. Its been fun to play with and will have it paired up
with a Globe Scout 65A, my original novice transmitter. With the mechanical
filter it is really to narrow to enjoy listening to AM with it. I have
bridged a cap across the filter to open it up and works good on AM that way.
I tried to switch the cap in and out from the back of the chassis but the
leads were too long so I plan on monuting a switch close to the filter and
use a long shaft to turn the switch. I think I can use the hole in the rear
of the chassis, where you would make the 20 meter trap adjustment to avoid
butchering this unit up.

Hello. I have an HA-350 in good physical condition, but the previous owner
was a butcher. I have the Manual, but I need a schematic. I have tried BAMA,
etc. with no luck. Any suggestions???

tnx

Ron

Hi Mike. Thank you for the offer, but I was finally able to download the
Manual and Schematic.
As far as the switched cap goes...my radio had one also. Unfortunatly, the
previous owner drilled a hole in the front panel and had some REAL long leads
going to it. Rather ineffective, I would imagine.

Where exactly is your extra cap located? I removed mine a long time ago, now
I can't remember where it was. ha ha

I'll try the mod. It it works, I'll use a small RS relay right next to the
affected part.
