Hello Ken and the list;

   I'm also trying to fix the calibrator of my HA-225,
 not knowledgeable enough to comment for it. For audio
 response, both HE-80 and HA-225 has good treble. In
 these receivers ALL of the "Nichicon" brand capacitors
 showed excessive leakage. My HE-80 had no treble
 response when I acquired; replacing Nichicon capacitors
 regained treble; well, regained too much. I had to
 install additional bypass cap to my HE-80 to reduce
 the treble. As an experiment I also added NFB to HE-80
 power amp. Total gain dropped, but the frequency
 response became much favorable for CD player input,
 although it was unnecessary for a communication receiver.
