We did this type of class with the Health Departments here in District 10,
with several reps from each county. We ended up with close to 30
Techs from the class.

I used the ARRL Videos, Now You're Talking, and made a CD with
supplementary material, such as sample exams, testing software they
could run on their compuers, and the question pool rearranged to go with
the Videos and the chapters in the book. It was necessary to rearrange
the different parts of the Video to corrspond with the book.

We did it in two full day sessions (on their work time)
in two groups of 15-20, and came up
with about an 90 percent passing rate. A third session was used for
exams.

Of course, the question pool has changed, as has the study material,
and I'm not sure the videos are available updated. They were very
useful to alternate with lecture and questions to make it more interesting.
It is essential in a short class that they study ahead, so we gave them
the books and material before the first class.

I think some do a two day class, with exams on the second day, but
this would seem to be pushing it. Many in this class had no previous
knowledge of or interest in Amateur Radio before the class.

Don't think I could make it to Frankfort, but this plan worked for us.

Good luck,
