Area 3

We will miss DEC W4RCX who will be moving to Florida soon. He has been a
great asset to the Ky program and Area 3. Kevin Simmons, KI4JXN will be
replacing him as DEC and we thank Kevin for taking on this important
assignment.

Area 4

WB4JM, New EC for Warren County reports: Working in conjunction with the
Warren County Sheriff's Office and the Bowling Green Police Department,
members of the KCARC manned bridges along the Natcher Parkway and Interstate
65 within Warren County in order to prevent malicious activities during
Halloween. 20 amateurs contributed a total 150 man hours to this project.

==========================================================

Area 7

DEC NB4K reports that District 7 did not have an S.E.T. this month as ours
was held on August 4th. However a test was run to see how many 440 radios
could make contact on the 2nd Thursday net. This was being done to see what
and where we as an ARES group might need to make changes if the need were to
arise. There will be an ARES breakfast/meeting on November 5th. There were
three members from Area 7 who went south to work in the Katrina aftermath.
