 Louisville Hamfest Prizes and Prices Announced
Excitement is running high as we stretch our budget to provide three nice
prizes this year. First prize is the Icom IC-718 HF Transceiver. Our second
prize offering is the Yaesu FT-2800M 2-Meter Transceiver. For third prize we
went with something for everybody, the Radio Shack 7-Channel NWR-SAME
Weatheradio with USB Interface. Be sure to check out the details on our web
site.

With the exception of the indoor flea market, prices remain the same as last
year. Admission is $5 in advance and $6 at the door with kids 12 and under
free. Commercial spaces remain $20 each and tailgating spaces are still $5.
Because of table rentals, our indoor flea market price has gone to $7, but
we provide an 8-foot table in place of last year's 6-foot tables.

Event planning is still in the works. Plans will be announced as things
progress. Advanced tickets and spaces are now available with forms on the
web site. We now have new forms to type in the information online, as well
as the old forms to fill in manually. Forms will need to be mailed to the
G.L.H.A. along with a self-addressed stamped envelope and payment. We
encourage merchants wanting spaces to register as early as possible this
year. Last year we were sold out.

We could still use some more volunteers to help us with this year's hamfest.
Some jobs include flea market and vendor space sales, assistance with forums
and advertisements, indoor flea market "floor walkers" and other various

The 2005 Greater Louisville Hamfest and Computer Show is Saturday, September
