This coming Tuesday morning, March 8th, there will be a state-wide
severe weather drill with activations of NOAA receivers, broadcast media
EAS tests and activation of many amateur radio nets across Kentucky.
The drill will activate at 10:07 AM EST or 9:07AM Central time. Nets
that plan to acticvate, I request that you report this to me listing the
net frequency(s), times and roster of station call signs participating.
Please do this as soon as possible after the end of your net so you
don't forget and I can send in a state-wide report of amateur activity
to KyEM and the NWS.

KEN will activate from 10:30 AM EST until 11:30 AM EST on or near 7.228
MHz for reports via HF from local and regional nets.

For my Area 3/5/and 6 folks who can hit them, the Wide Area Repeaters
Net (WARN) will activate at 10:07 AM EST on the 146.625 - tone 151.4
Hz, Meade Co repeater and the 443.350 + repeater in Jefferson County.
The remote base used to link to the Hancock County, Hawesville 146.715
- is off the air temporarily for repair and will not be able to be
activated as we usually do for this annual drill.
