[KYHAM] EarthQuakes and opinions.

I know no one asked for it, but my opinion is that when it involves emergency preparedness, I would hate to see anyone to question whether their well-intentioned sharing of information in this forum will provoke criticism. One day it might prove to be very valuable information. Plus, this list extends beyond my own computer screen here in Lexington.

I also think any kind of information pertaining to natural disasters that could happen in Kentucky belongs in the loop. Check out the history of Reel Foot Lake or look at the dams that could be breached on Kentucky Lake or Lake Barkley by even a minor earthquake. An earthquake event on the scale of that which formed Reel Foot Lake would undoubtedly require emergency assistance from the rest of the state dealing with injuries and casualties. There are several hundreds of thousands of surface acres of water that would have to go somewhere.

I'll admit that I didn't even read most of the replies to the original post so I'm not trying to take sides. If I'm way off base with my interpretation, please just ignore me. Personally I don't mind having too much information, especially when I have time to read it!

Respectfully,

I simply asked why, and as I "STATED"...( I'm not complaining)
Hey, if anything happened here? Look at this way, at least we
had a good matter of opinions going...Again, I meant NO HARM to
any one or disrespect thereof and/or to.
And again as I also ended that email...ALL E.Q. ARE
IMPORTANT. There is obviously a reason, if the ground shakes.

Everyone have a wonderful day. Donny
