[KYHAM] For Sale: SX25 Super Defiant (1946) receiver

       HALLICRAFTER SX25 RADIO, 1946 model, for sale by original owner. 
This radio was developed during WWII as one of the Defiant series and was 
quite advanced for its day. 2 RF amplifiers allowed reception with small 
antennas of weak signals along with improved image rejection. The  Crystal 
filter allows for as much as 500 Hz selectivity for CW .The filter also has 
a phasing control which  produces a tunable notch to eliminate unwanted CW 
stations or carriers.
     It has a Gray crackle-finish steel cabinet. Hallicrafter 10" speaker 
in matching cabinet included. Freq. range 550kHz to 30mHz. 12 tube 
superhet, 2 rf stages, 2 if stages, crystal filter, noise limiter, BFO, 
push-pull audio output. S meter defective. Probably needs alignment. 
Otherwise should work, but not guaranteed. (Safest to start gradually with 
Variac.) Physical condition is good.  Minimum price is $150 or best offer 
above that.  The owner bought it new at the age of 13 years and would like
