L.S.

After some experimenting I ended up with using Garmin's Mapsource cd's to
make UI-View APRS maps.

It's a simple, fairly accurate and fast way to make a map. I run the
Mapsource program and select the area I want to view, make a screenprint and
paste it into the 20/20 graphic program and cut out the map portion of the
screenshot. In Mapsource it's easy to determine the upper-left and
lower-right coordinates for the UI-View *.inf file, simply point the cursor
to the corners and note the coordinates. Takes about two minutes to make a
map and have it up- and running on UI-View.

Drawback is you have to buy the Mapsource cd's, but I would be happy to make
a UI-View map for anyone who has no access to the cd's. Send me the city to
center on and the approximate radius from the center, keeping in mind that
the map will have the proportions as displayed in the screenshots.
