My apologies for running a bit behind this month and for not
responding as I usually do to those reporting in. Closing out
2004 has been a tedious task in many departments. RLD, KySEC

Major Activity

Area 3
KI4BUN reports Henderson County, Ky activated with their
neighbors across the river in Evansville, In as a snow storm
raged on Dec 22

Area 5
KY4Z reports - During the ice/snow storm that arrived in Nelson
County on Wednesday, December 22, amateur operators were
requested to support both Nelson County EMA and Red Cross

all of the city of Bardstown. The Red Cross opened a shelter on
the evening of Dec. 22 at the Bardstown Middle School, which had
emergency power. Nelson County EMA set up a mobile command post
outside the shelter that evening. Amateurs helped man the command
post and the county's Emergency Operations Center, and supported
the shelter operations. The Red Cross closed its shelter early
Sunday, Dec. 26th. Active Participants were: N4SQA, KI4FZR,
AE4NU, KY4Z, KI4EZF, KI4HAP
