I appreciate that you did not commit to the content of the E-mail.

As to the value of staying informed, yes, I totally agree, and if you
explore this subject you will find a lot of varying opinions, some of which
are not real well informed, much like the nature of the one you forwarded.

I'm in the unique position of being very active with the soundcard modes,
Pactor, and using them both with Winlink 2000.

It's an exciting time for amateur radio. We all need to work together to
become better operators, stay better informed, and I think work together
while taking some care not to spread misinformation or promote contention.
