It Looks Like A Big Hamfest For Louisville
With less than a week away, it looks as if The 2004 Greater Louisville
Hamfest has a big day in store. Word has it the Paroquet Springs facility
will be packed with sellers, based on pre-registration spaces sold. And that
doesn't even include the large number of tailgaters who normally participate
in the show.
Reaction to the new facility and lower flea market prices has been
tremendous, boosting participation way beyond expectations. This has been
enhanced by the unexpected sale of 80 tickets sold for Friday's Louisville
Hamfest Banquet. And remember, for those wishing to participate in The Royal
Order of the Wouff-Hong, you --MUST-- have your amateur radio license and
proof of ARRL Membership. If you misplaced your ARRL card, you can probably
bring the latest copy of QST with your mailing address label attached as
proof of ARRL Membership.
So as next weekend draws near, be sure to keep Saturday, September 11 open
for The 2004 Greater Louisville Hamfest and Computer Show at Paroquet
Springs Conference Centre just off I-65 at Exit 117. Talk-In will be on
146.70 MHz (No PL). A map, scheduled events and other details are available
on the GLHA web site at www.critterbob.net/glha. If it has been a while
since you've been to a Louisville hamfest, this will be one you won't want
to miss! It's gonna be big, folks!!!
