As can be seen from the previous KyHam post from Ky State Army
MARS Director, Barry Jackson, the begining stages are being set
for the coming 5 day exercise. ARES operators participating over
the coming days are again asked to make use of the new status
board to be found at: http://kyham.net/kyares/active/intro.html
to enter the counties coming into play in the exercise. There is
an entry in the drop down box of the STATUS window of the ADD
ENTRY page for "Exercise". This will enable us to better
evaluate this new tool and allow you a chance to try it out in
exercise play before actually needing to make use of it in a
realtime emergency.

For those awaiting additional info from KyEM, I will be regularly
checking my mail throughout the day and as soon as any additional
info is given me requiring attention, it will be forwarded to the
appropriate destinations. Any operations for Ky ARES will be on
our 40 meter freq and local VHF/UHF per your local planning
arrangements.

Ron Dodson, KA4MAP
