[KYHAM] ARES and the DNC in Boston

Next week is the Democratic National Convention in Boston, Ma.  I 
received a message from the SEC in the EMA section yesterday in which he 
outlined their plans to operate in assistance during the DNC. At this 
time, they do not anticipate nor do they want unsolicited assistance 
from "walk-ins". Security, as you might imagine , will be tight and 
those who are working the operation have been checked and cleared.  
Arrangements HAVE been made with ARES in neighboring sections to respond 
in mutual aid should trouble erupt.  Again, regardless of what occurs 
next week, walk-ins are out of the question and even if things go wrong, 
responders should only go if specifically asked for.

In retrospect, I believe our best move is to remain alert and aware of 
developments and be ready to serve "in-state" should the need arise as 
one never knows where trouble may raise it head.  Ditto the RNC coming up!
