One thing I thought I would add to this conversation is how the amateur 
radio service will be changed, if at all.  Any individual/organization 
can file a petition with the FCC.  However, the filing of a petition 
doesn't ensure action.  Over the coming weeks/months, we *may* see a 
statement from the FCC about the petition if they chose to act upon it. 
  Now would be a good time to look at the process, and understand it.

The opinions we express in the formal process are what the FCC listens 
to.
