To all,
	=46rom time to time, I repost the "rules of the road" to the =
list.  For=20
some, it has been a while since they subscribed, and some never read=20
them. <grin> At any rate, here is the twice a year reminder.
Take care, 73,
Pat, KD4PWL

--------------------------------------------------------------------
	Stay on the topic of amateur radio. This is a special interest =
email=20
community, and persons subscribing to KYHAM do so only to receive=20
amateur radio information.
	Likewise, no SPAM, junk mail, forwarded letters from other =
people=20
about topics that have nothing to do with amateur radio. This includes=20=

virus warnings, pleas for action, and/or other scams. Any subscriber=20
who does SPAM the listserv will be immediately removed from KYHAM,=20
without appeal, or recourse.
	Respect the opinions of those posting. They will respect yours =
too. No=20
flames, fights, or otherwise negative behavior will be permitted. Feel=20=

free to disagree with someone's opinion and debate the issue, but do=20
not attack the person holding the opinion.
	You may not post or forward the contents of a private email=20
conversation to KYHAM without the express permission of all parties=20
involved in that private email exchange.
	Let the administrator do his job. If someone does something =
against=20
the rules, please do not compound the problem by calling attention, or=20=

"fussing" at the other user. I will handle all problems quickly and=20
privately. Not following this rule will entitle you to a personal=20
conversation with the list admin as well. <grin>
	You may post personal buy/sell/trade items, or the results from =
your=20
on-air amateur radio trader's nets to the listserv. Commercial or=20
dealer items are NOT permitted, however.
	File attachments are not permitted on KYHAM, they are =
automatically=20
stripped from the email. Likewise, all HTML encoding is stripped from=20
messages. This is done through a script that takes out this data, and=20
simply places the text of message back in the email. There is a chance,=20=

however slight that errors may occur, and legitimate characters will be=20=

stripped out of the message. So it is best to send all messages to=20
KYHAM in plain-text format to totally eliminate any chance of errors=20
occurring on your messages.
	Please be considerate about reposting emails that are already=20
mass-distributed such as the ARRL Letter. Many people already receive=20
these notices direct from the source. Also, if you are thinking about=20
posting a particular message to several different listservs, keep in=20
mind that many people subscribe to more than one listserv. Some users=20
may frown on you for doing so.
	KYHAM is an extension of the KY amateur radio community. This=20
community grows every day. Keep in mind there are many new members who=20=

may not be accustomed to operating on a listserv. Help them learn by=20
example by being a good sport, and obeying the rules.=00=
