Louisville Hamfest & Banquet Just Around the Corner

The Greater Louisville Hamfest is now less than 3 weeks away. Coming even
faster is the deadline for the September 10th banquet. All reservations must
be received by August 28th, so if you plan on going, mail your $20 check as
soon as possible so you don't miss out. Remember, that 20 dollars takes care
of taxes and the tip. There are also some nice door prizes (you must be
present to win), an old timer's program and awards ceremonies. The
Wouff-Hong will follow the banquet, but to participate you MUST have your
ARRL Membership Card and Amateur Radio License.
A new booth to the September 11th Louisville Hamfest provides a
demonstration of Amateur Radio Satellite communications. This in addition to
booths and demos of Skywarn, EchoLink and APRS. Outside a powered parachute
and the Red Cross Emergency Communications Response Vehicle will be on
display.

FCC Exams will also be taking place from 10AM until 1PM, with signup
starting at 8AM. The Louisville Hamfest will be Sept. 11 from 8AM until 3PM
at the Paroquet Springs Conference Centre, Exit 117 off I-65. For more
