For those interested in understanding the basics of Bio Terrorism response
for "first responders", there is a free online class sponsored by the
Terrorism Response and Preparedness co-authored by EKU, UK, UofL and
WKU. The course is located at http://www.kiprc.uky.edu/flash2/flash.html.

I took the course a few weeks ago, and it is very informative for persons
like us who may be involved in the emergency response from the emergency
management perspective. It only took me a couple of hours to complete the
course and I judged it as informative without getting too deep into the
complex aspects of infectious diseases. A good "review course". It is a
"work at your own pace" course, and you can log on, work a while, and then
come back later for more.

This course requires that you have the Macromedia Flash Player installed as
a plugin for your Internet browser. If you don't have the plug-in, it is
freely available from their web site at
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash.

You do receive a PDF certificate after successful completion of the course.

Take care, 73,
