For Sale:
ICOM IC-706MKII transceiver with optional DSP, Separation Kit (for
control panel) and LDG 100 watt automatic antenna tuner w/ ICOM interface
cable. A copy of the antenna tuner's manual is available at
http://www.ldgelectronics.com/MP_Asm_Manual23.pdf . Also included is a
soft black carrying case. It has scratches but works just fine. I am the
original owner and non-smoker. I have never had any problems with it.
This transceiver operates 160 thru 2 meters ( no 70 cm). The
microphone does not have a key pad and the MKII does not have automatic
repeater split ( this feature was not added until the G version). But all
you have to do is operate in split mode for repeaters.
The LDG AT-11MP antenna tuner is may be remotely located in the
trunk on a car and will load up most long (>7' ) whip antennas or long wire
antennas. With the interface cable the antenna tuner is operated by the
706's control panel buttons and you don't have to fuss with the controls on
the antenna tuner at all. The transceiver can be located in the trunk or
under seat as well using the separation kit so that you can put just the
control panel on the dash. I usually operated it with the control panel on
a clip board so I could take notes and log contacts.
I am asking $700 for the set.
You can contact me at [email protected] or in the evenings at 859 272-9523. I
have enough solid state transceivers. Now I need to pay for my Johnson
Desk KW.
