Reminders...

1. KEN will be on our DAY TIME freq. tomorrow. For you newer
folks, that translates out to 7.228 Mhz. LSB, three khz inside
the General Class portion. If QRM dictates a slight move, it
will be up in freq. not down.
KEN will go on the air at approximately 9 AM EDT/8 AM CDT in the
morning and end around Noon EDT unless needed to stay on for a
longer period.

2. Remember to try your luck on the Ky state-wide 2 meter FM
Simplex frequency of 146.550. Special recognition will go to the
ham making the longest, CONFIRMED distance message relay inside
the Ky Section. So you can send a radiogram to a friend in the
other end of the state, to me the Ky SEC or any other amateur in
the state. Our primary purpose here is to see if two meter
message relay state-wide is really viable in a major emergency
and what range can be expected if not.

3. Some groups are holding their SET as a part of local EMA
exercises on days other than tomorrow. If your group is one of
these or if you do not have a group activity going, feel free to
check into the KEN tomorrow and/or participate on 146.550 Simplex
anyway. You might enjoy it!

4. Some interest has been expressed in operations on 2 meter SSB
in the 144.200 region on USB. If you have two meter SSB
capability, why not give it a try too. Might make a long
distance QSO or two! Won't know of you don't try.
