I ask that each of you contact your Congressional Senators Mitch McConnell,
[email protected] and Jim Bunning,
[email protected] and make them known of your desire to have
the Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Consistency Act and the Amateur
Radio Spectrum Protection Act passed when they come to the Senate. Here is a
sample letter that you may alter to fit your needs. Make sure to include
your name, address, city, zip code and phone number with area code. As this
puts credence in your e-mail.

I asked that you give special attention to the Amateur Radio Emergency
Communications Consistency Act and the Amateur Radio Spectrum Protection
Act. We need to be able to continue to give the experienced communications
that our government either
federally, stately or locally that they have become accustomed to us
providing. Without these particular bills protecting our hobby these
services will be in jeopardy. Please consider these ACTS closely as the
future of Amateur Radio depends on a positive outcome from Congress. These
communications were very valuable in Falmouth in March of 1997.
Thank you for your time and I would look forward to the time that I
might be able to expound on these ACTS with you in person. I appreciate all
the hard work you do of the people of Kentucky.
